Privacy policy

This policy applies to the website vyve.no. It describes the personal data we process when you visit the site or contact us.

Data controller

Vyve AS (org. no. 833 513 982), Innovation Dock, Bryggerikaien 12, 4014 Stavanger, Norway, is the data controller. Send privacy questions to post@vyve.no.

No cookies or tracking

Vyve.no does not use cookies, analytics tools, ad tracking or embedded third-party content. The fonts are loaded from our own server. We do not build a profile of you, and we make no automated decisions about you.

Storage in your browser

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your own device. It is not sent to us, and you can delete it by clearing your browser data.

Technical operation

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information about each request, such as IP address, time, the address requested and browser type. This is needed to deliver the pages and protect them against attacks. We have not enabled access logs, so we do not keep a record of who visits the site.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and stable service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

The “Book a demo” form

When you send the form, we process your name, email address, company, phone number if you give one, and your message. We also record which button on the website led you to the form, and which language you used. The purpose is to reply to you and arrange a demo.

To stop automated spam, the form checks how long it took to fill in and whether a hidden field was filled in. This is only used at that moment and is not stored.

The form reaches us as an email, and we do not store it in any database. The legal basis is that you wish to enter into an agreement with us (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).

When you email or call us

If you email or call us, we process your name, contact details and what you write or say, in order to reply and follow up. The legal basis is the same as for the form.

How long we keep the data

Enquiries are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact, unless you become a customer. If you do, our agreement applies. Error logs from the form do not contain what you wrote and are deleted after 30 days.

Who processes the data on our behalf

We use hosting and email providers to deliver the website and receive enquiries. They process the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and do not use it for their own purposes.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA. Where they do, it is on a valid basis under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. If you would like to know which providers we use, just ask us.

No resale, no marketing without your consent

We do not sell your data, and we only share it with our providers. We will not send you newsletters or marketing unless you have agreed to it.

Security

The website and the form use an encrypted connection (HTTPS) throughout. Only the people at Vyve who follow up enquiries have access to them.

Links to other websites

The logos under “Backed by” and the link to LinkedIn lead to other websites. They have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification and erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Contact us at post@vyve.no and we will reply within one month.

If you believe we process personal data in breach of the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we change how we process personal data. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.

The Vyve platform

This policy covers the website only. Processing of data in the Vyve platform is governed by the agreement with each customer.
